What Does It Actually Sound Like?
The YM-5100A has the full, warm and resonant tone you expect from a serious rosewood marimba.
The larger 5 octave range gives the instrument real depth in the low register, while the graduated bars help keep the sound even and projected right across the range. The bass end has weight and warmth, the middle register has body and clarity, and the upper notes stay clean without becoming thin.
