The YM-4600A is the culmination of extensive research gathered from professional players to perfect our YM-6000 Concert Grand Marimba. Meticulously handcrafted using the latest materials technology, this instrument offers a warm, resonant tone and precise intonation. Our exclusive Yamaha tuning method ensures accurate pitch while the traditional rosewood bars produce a high-quality sound. The cut-away designed resonators, featuring a 3-position tracking system, allow for easy adjustment of resonator height for tonal control and added strength, while keeping the overall weight of the instrument in check. With graduated bars throughout the range, this marimba produces a consistently full and powerful sound. The height-adjustable frame, equipped with pneumatic struts, allows for effortless individual adjustments to the player's preferred position. The hinged resonators and rails, along with a two-piece crossbar, make disassembly a breeze. Large 4" casters also ensure smooth transport over uneven surfaces.
