The Honduras Rosewood tone bars on the Yamaha YM-2400R Marimba are expertly crafted and tuned by master craftsmen using Yamaha's unique tuning system. For optimal resonance, the resonators can be positioned in three different ways, while the lightweight but durable frame features large casters for convenient transportation. Using Yamaha's exclusive method, the marimba maintains true pitch and produces a full sound. The resonators have a cut-away design and a 2-tracking system for adjusting the height and controlling the pitch and tone. Additionally, the marimba boasts graduated tone bars for professional-level sound quality and projection. Its height can be easily adjusted by one person using pneumatic struts, and a lower crossbar support ensures the integrity and longevity of the contemporary frame. The hinged resonators and rails, along with a two-piece crossbar, make disassembly a breeze. Finally, oversized 4" casters make it easy to transport the marimba over rough surfaces.
