The Yamaha Stage Custom Birch is a proper acoustic drum kit with 100% birch shells, a clean Yamaha sound and a lacquered finish that looks far better than many kits at this price point. It is a popular choice for players who want a reliable kit for home, school, rehearsal, studio work and live playing without moving into professional custom kit prices.
What does it actually sound like?
Birch gives the Stage Custom a focused attack, clear tom response and a punchy bass drum sound. It is not a dull beginner kit; it has enough definition for recording and enough projection for live playing, while still being easy to tune and control.
Who is this version for?
The 22" Rock configuration is the one to choose if you want a full-size bass drum feel with more low-end weight. It suits rock, pop, function work, rehearsal rooms, teaching spaces and general gigging.
Choose this version over the 20" Fusion kit if you want the bigger kick drum sound and a more traditional rock/pop setup.

- HW680W Hardware Pack: Yamaha 600 Series double-braced hardware, a good choice if you want sturdy stands with a complete hardware bundle.
