With its compact 8" x 7" size, this tom is ideal for adding extra tonal range above a standard tom setup while keeping the sound focused, articulate and responsive.

Part of Yamaha’s high-end Absolute Hybrid Maple series, this rack tom uses Yamaha’s Maple-Wenge-Maple hybrid shell construction. Yamaha’s official specifications list the tom and floor tom shells as 7-ply, 6.1mm, with 3.0mm aluminium die-cast hoops, Hook Lugs, Y.E.S.S. III mounting, and Yamaha Remo Emperor Clear batter / Ambassador Clear resonant heads.

The hybrid shell design combines the clear tone of maple with a central wenge ply, giving the drum a rich, expressive response across a wide dynamic range.
