The Protection Racket SET 15 is a complete soft case set for a standard acoustic drum kit with a 20" bass drum, 14" snare, two rack toms and a 14" floor tom.

It is designed for drummers who want proper protection without going all the way to hard cases. If you are carrying your kit to rehearsals, gigs, teaching spaces, school, church or studio sessions, a full set of padded drum cases makes life much easier and helps keep the drums in better condition.

This set is made for drum shell sizes of 20" x 16", 14" x 5.5", 10" x 7", 12" x 8" and 14" x 14".

What Is It Actually For?

This set gives you a padded case for each main drum in the kit.

You get a bass drum case, snare drum case, two tom cases and a floor tom case. That means each drum has its own protective bag, rather than being carried loose or stacked against other hardware.

Protection Racket list their case sizes by the drum shell size they are designed for. The internal dimensions are made larger to allow room for lugs, hoops, mounts and other drum hardware.

Good Protection Without Hard Cases

Protection Racket Proline cases are popular because they give a strong level of protection while still being light and easy to carry.

The outer material is Racketex, a tough 600 denier polyester designed for high abrasion resistance. It is waterproof and made to handle normal gigging and transport use.

Inside, the Propile synthetic fleece lining gives the drum a soft, non-abrasive surface. It also helps remove surface moisture and keeps the drum protected while it is being moved around.

Between the outer and inner layers is Protection Racket’s Propadd foam. This uses dual-density foam with a harder outer layer and softer inner layer, giving 8mm of protection while keeping the cases light.

Built for Gigging Drummers

These cases are made with real-world use in mind.

The handles are lined with soft neoprene for comfort, with added support underneath for strength. The zips use a heavy-duty nylon spiral chain, with satin finished nickel-plated zip pulls. The zip pulls can also be interlocked, which is useful if you want to secure the case with a small padlock during transport.

Each case also has a clear size label, making it easier to match the right case to the right drum when packing down.

It is a small detail, but at the end of a gig, when you are trying to pack away quickly, clear case labels really help.
