The Meinl Headed Artisan Edition Double Row Tambourine comes with a hand-selected calf skin head and nickel-plated steel jingles for a bright and textured resonance. Jingles are laid out in a staggered pattern to ensure an even sound when shake rolling or playing thumb rolls.

Finger rolls are aided by an outer ring of textured rosin, preventing the need for frequent use of rosin on delicate calfskin and making performance practice much more consistent. The shell is made out of American White Ash.
