The Mapex Venus removes that problem entirely. It's a genuine all-in-one kit: open the boxes and you have everything you need to sit down and start playing.

That doesn't mean it's a toy. The shells are 9-ply poplar at 7.2mm, finished with Mapex's SONIClear bearing edges — the same approach to bearing edge design used across Mapex's more expensive kits, which makes tuning easier and gives the drums a fuller, more resonant sound than you'd expect at this level. Remo UC Series drumheads come fitted as standard, so the kit sounds focused and controlled right out of the box rather than needing an immediate head upgrade.

A Genuinely Complete Package

The hardware pack uses chrome-finished stands with Mini B-Lugs — a detail borrowed from higher-end Mapex kits — and includes a TH652 double tom holder, triple-flanged steel hoops, a Mapex P410 single bass drum pedal, and a Mapex H410 hi-hat stand with direct pull chain drive.

Cymbals are included too — 14" hammered brass hi-hats and an 18" hammered brass crash/ride — so you're not left without anything to play on day one. A throne and a pair of sticks complete the package.

Rock or Fusion — Choose the Sizes That Suit You

The Venus comes in two shell configurations. The Fusion pack (10"x7", 12"x8", 14"x12" floor tom, 20"x16" bass drum, 14"x5" snare) is more compact and versatile, suiting smaller rooms and a wider range of musical styles. The Rock pack (10"x7", 12"x8", 16"x14" floor tom, 22"x16" bass drum, 14"x5" snare) is bigger and punchier, with more low-end weight — better suited to louder playing and rock-oriented styles.

Finishes

The Venus is available in five striking sparkle and metallic finishes — Black Galaxy Sparkle, Steel Blue Metallic, Copper Metallic, Crimson Red Sparkle, and Aqua Blue Sparkle — so there's a genuine choice of look rather than a single standard colour. A Blue Sky Sparkle option may also be available depending on current stock.
