A Note on Bass Drum Muffling
Every drum and every room responds differently, so it's worth experimenting with placement — further towards the centre of the head will give slightly more damping, closer to the edge a little less. If you're after a heavier, more aggressive muffling effect, a bass drum pillow or foam pad might be worth considering alongside this. If you want a light touch that just takes the edge off, the SC-BF on its own is usually all you need.
