There's a lot going on inside this guitar, and it's worth taking a moment to understand what makes it different from a standard electro-acoustic.

The headline feature is the SP1 TransAcoustic system — a pickup and electronics setup that lets you add reverb, delay, chorus and other effects directly through the guitar itself, without needing an amp or pedals. The transacoustic system means you can enjoy effects like reverb and chorus directly from the guitar, without needing an external amplifier or pedals — so you can practice, perform or jam anywhere with genuinely inspiring sound. It connects to Enya's music app via Bluetooth, letting you customise and edit your sound from your phone, and it also works as a Bluetooth speaker for playing backing tracks through the guitar itself. The onboard battery charges via USB-C.

That's a significant amount of technology for the price — but the guitar underneath it is worth talking about too.

The Guitar Itself

The top is torrefied Sitka spruce — a process where the wood is heat-treated to replicate the cellular changes that happen naturally as a guitar ages. Enya's carbonisation process involves treating the spruce top at high heat, causing the wood's cellular structure to rearrange, enhancing its acoustic responsiveness and giving it an aged tonal profile right from the start. The back and sides are rosewood-grain HPL — High Pressure Laminate — which is dimensionally stable, resistant to temperature and humidity changes, and more environmentally considerate than solid rosewood. The neck is African mahogany, the fretboard and bridge are Richlite composite ebony, and the nut and saddle are bone and TUSQ respectively — better materials than you'd typically find at this price point.

The 41" cutaway body gives you full access to the upper frets, and the satin matte finish feels smooth and clean under the hands.

SP1 Electronics

The SP1 system is more than just a basic preamp and pickup. It includes Enya's D1 intelligent audio chip with the ES One sound processing system, giving you multiple built-in effects, a live sound card function, and Bluetooth connectivity to the Enya app. You get a 6.35mm output for going direct into a PA or amp as a standard electro-acoustic, plus USB-C charging so you're not relying on replaceable batteries.
