  • Made, designed, and packaged in the UK.
  • Comes in a kraft paper tube, inside a compostable Nature-Flex bag made from wood pulp, with a label made from 100% recycled content in the EU¦all tied together with twine made in the UK.
  • The Edgware team use this product as a lip balm in the office, so no need to warn young woodwind players not to put their cork grease anywhere near their mouths anymore!
What instrument is this for? This cork grease is for all woodwind instruments with corks, such as clarinets, saxophones, oboes, bassoons and recorders. When do I use it? Use this grease whenever your instrument is difficult to put together or makes a horrible squeaking noise as you assemble it! This grease isnžt petroleum-based, so your corks wonžt dry out as quickly, meaning you wonžt have to use it so often! How do I use it?
  1. Apply a small amount of grease to your tenon or crook cork.
  2. Use your finger to work the grease into the cork.
  3. Put your instrument together gently to see if you need to apply another layer.
  4. Wipe off any excess grease on the body of your instrument with a clean cloth “ the Edgware care cloth works well (but we would say that, wouldnžt we?)
Breaking down our packaging¦ Our tubes are made from 100% recyclable card, so please recycle them once youžve used every last bit of grease!
